Arthur Roy Andrukat's Obituary
Arthur Roy Andrukat, Sr., 75, of Alliance, died Monday, February 3, 2003, at 4:00 a.m. at the University Hospital in Cleveland. Born in Lackawanna, New York on December 14, 1927, he had been a resident of the Alliance area for the past 23 years. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served during WWII. Previously employed at TRW of Cleveland, Mr. Andrukat later worked for Parker-Hannifin of Cleveland and retired from Parker-Hanni fin of Sebring where he was plant manager. After retirement, he became owner of Becker's Paint Store. A member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Alliance Senior Center. Survivors include his wife, Catherine (Nacke) Andrukat, whom he married on August 26, 1950; two daughters, Linda Andrukat of Rochester, NY, and Catherine (Dan) Mihalik of Hartville; two sons, Arthur Andrukat Jr. of Alliance, and William (Regina) Andrukat of Sharpsburg, GA; three grandchildren, Jessica Gruszewski, Patrick Mihalik and Amanda Mihalik; a sister, Gertrude (Ray) He~ner of Strongsville, OR; two brothers, Richard (Pat) Andrukat of Brookpark, OH and Harry (Helen) Andrukat of Valley City, OR; several nieces and nephews; and several wonderful friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Carl and AdelIa (Bender) Andrukat; two sisters, Irene Sliwinski and Lydia Weinschreider; and a brother, Walter Andrukat. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2003, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Friday, February 7, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
