Arline A. Lavery's Obituary
Arline A. Lavery, age 91, of Alliance, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Alliance Community Care Center from cancer.
She was born on January 22, 1925 in Lakewood, Ohio to Robert and Viola (Heinz) Marquardt.
Arline graduated from Ohio University in 1947 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education.
She was happily married to Thomas C. Lavery for over sixty one years until his death on January 5, 2010. Together they founded Lavery Chevrolet, Inc. in 1966.
Arline was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and its Sunday school senior bible class and served as president of the Alliance Women’s Club, Whist Club, and Hill and Dale Gardeners.
She enjoyed wine, bridge, bowling, and golfing and had two holes-in-one at the Alliance Country Club.
Survivors include sons, Robert (Kathleen) Lavery and William (Sally) Lavery, both of Alliance, daughter Mary Ann (Richard Caudell) of Mason, Ohio, two granddaughters, Lindsay and Laura, special nieces, Jane and Peggy, and her dear friend Madge Peters.
A church service of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Friends may call Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home and on Monday, August 1, from 9:30 am – 10:45 a.m. at the church.
