Arlene R. Kron's Obituary
Arlene Ruth (Myers) Kron, 90, formerly of Alliance, died on Friday, August 28, 2009, at 11:12 a.m. at Stow-Glen Care Center in Stow, Ohio. She was born on May 2, 1919 in Buffalo, NY. After growing up in Ravenna, Arlene moved to Alliance in 1941, where she made her home until 1977 when she moved to Florida. She returned to Ohio in 2008. After graduating in 1937 from Ravenna Township High School, where she lettered in basketball, Arlene worked at Hykon Manufacturing Company in Alliance until her retirement. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church until she moved to Ft. Lauderdale and joined St. Coleman s parish. Arlene enjoyed traveling, planning parties, working crossword puzzles and playing cards and board games. She especially loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews. She is survived by two sisters, Vivian Feola of Strongsville, Ohio and Florence Hesketh of Streetsboro, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, and God-children who will miss her dearly. Preceding her in death was her husband, Andrew Kron whom she married on August 9, 1941; her parents, Elwood and Ella (Wehling) Myers; a sister, Pauline Petia; and two brothers, Lawrence Myers and Lester Myers. Graveside service and interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, Pastor of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, officiating.
