Antonio "Tony" Montini's Obituary
Antonio "Tony" Montini, 67, of Alliance, died on Thursday, April 10, 2003, at 8:17 a.m. at Akron City Hospital. Born in Bari, Italy, on May 24, 1935, he lived most of his life in Alliance. A member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, Mr. Montini retired from Ford Motor Co. in Canton where he was employed as a crane operator for 34 years. He currently was a driver for Montrose Lincoln-Mercury in Alliance. He was a charter boat captain for Sabrina Charters on Lake Erie and an avid fisherman He is survived by his wife Fay (Sina) Montini (they were married on August 10, 1957); a daughter, Sabrina (Ralph) Wright of Alliance; a son, David Allen (Shelley) Montini of Alliance; 6 grandchildren, Tara, Jacob, Jonathan, Erica, Toni, and Tiffany; a great-grandson, Trea; a sister, Donna Divenere of San Pedro, CA; a nephew, Tony Divenere of Cleveland; and his beloved dog, Molly. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Montini; his granddaughter, Kyonna Montini; his parents, John and Theresa (Serriti) Montini; a sister, Rosie and a brother, John. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, April 13, 2003, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, on Monday, April 14, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
