Anthony "Tony" Conny's Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Conny, 93, of Alliance, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 8:07 am at Wyngate Assisted Living in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Born on January 30, 1933 in Sebring, Ohio to Anthony and Beatrice (DeCato) Conny, he lived in Alliance for most of his life.
Tony was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 3rd/4th Degree Knights of Columbus and the BPO Elks #467.
He was a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School and the Ohio School of Banking.
A veteran of the Korean War, he served our country in the U. S. Army.
He retired from Chase Bank as Vice President after 32 years of service.
Mr. Conny served on the Board of Mental Health and on the Copeland Oaks Board of Directors.
His pastimes included being involved at the University of Mount Union as an usher for sporting events and he was a passionate fan of Notre Dame. He especially loved wintering in Florida with his wife, Marie, for the past 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Ann (Birchak) Conny; her sons, Anthony Joseph “Joe” Conny Jr. and John Joseph Conny; his three grandchildren, Anthony Joseph “AJ” Conny III, Jacob Michael Conny and Jessica Marie Conny; and a brother, Donald Conny.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters, Ann, Mary and Sandy; and five brothers, Mike, Frank, Jim, Hank and Nick.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 am at Regina Coeli Catholic Church. Entombment, with military honors, will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
