Antha Lee Sickle's Obituary
Antha Lee Sickle, 93, of Alliance, died on Saturday, July 9, 2005, at 12:50 p.m. at the Alliance Community Hospital. Born in Engelhard, NC on October 26, 1911, Mrs. Sickle lived in the Alliance area for over 80 years. She was a member of the Alliance Church of the Nazarene and a member of their Prime-Time Club. Antha is survived by a daughter, Lila Guest of Canton, OH; two sons George Sickle of New York, NY, and Earl Sickle of Alliance; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Pop Sickle; her parents, Samuel and Laura (Sanderson) Litchfield; three sisters, Betty, Sara and Katie; and two brothers, George and Uriah. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Simpson officiating. Internment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park.
