Anne (Clark) Zucchero's Obituary
Anne (Clark) Zucchero, 94, of Alliance, died in her sleep during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 28, 2007, at Crandall Medical Center. Born on January 27, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois, she lived in Alliance most of her life, residing at Copeland Oaks since 1998. A graduate of Alliance High School, she was a long-time member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church in Alliance, and most recently at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring. Anne was formerly employed as a teacher s aid with the Stark County Mental Retardation Board. She was a pillar of the Regina Coeli community for many years, and received the Woman of the Year Award by the Catholic Women s Club in 1985 for her countless hours of service to organizations in the church. She was given the Pope Pius X Award from Bishop James Malone for having taught religious education for more than 30 years. She is survived by a son, William Zucchero of Charlottesville, VA; two daughters, Kathleen (Stephen) Koons of North Richland Hills, TX, and Maryjo (Dr. Robert) Hepler of Alliance; a daughter-in-law, Joanne Zucchero of Warren MI; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Peter J. Zucchero on July 12, 1997, whom she married on April 24, 1935; a son, Robert Zucchero in March, 2007; a daughter-in-law, Jane Zucchero; her parents, Thomas and Kathryn (Searl) Clark; three sisters, Mary Ruff, Virginia Wood and Louise White; and two brothers, Thomas Clark, in WW II, and Lawrence Clark. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring, Ohio on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Thomas P. Dyer, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Alliance, Ohio.
