Anne B. Paina's Obituary
Anne B. Paina, 80, of Alliance, died on Thursday, January 4, 2007, at 5:00 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital Emergency Room. Born on May 30, 1926, in Arcadia, Pennsylvania, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was formerly employed at the Alliance Manufacturing Company and the Alliance Rubber Company. Ann enjoyed working in her gardens and growing flowers. She especially loved the time she had with her husband and family. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy & Tony Polletta of Cary, NC; a son, Gene C. Paina of Alliance, Ohio: two grandchildren, Maria & David Polletta of Cary, NC; one sister, Marge Gregory of Newton Falls, OH; one brother, Bud Vargo of California; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Eugene Paina, on February 28, 1998, whom she married on April 12, 1948; and her parents, John and Anne (Nodeski) Vargo. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Msgr. James A. Kolp, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
