Annabelle (Sutton) Stinson's Obituary
Annabelle (Sutton) Stinson, 91, of Tucson, Arizona, died on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospice in Arizona. She was born on September 16, 1918 in Canton, Ohio, and grew up in Washington Township, where she attended Fox School and Minerva High School. As a child, she attended Salem United Methodist Church with her family. Annabelle later made her home in several different places throughout the United States. She lived in Tucson for 14 years and went back to Ohio in 1987 where she lived for 22 years. Annabelle returned to Tucson last October to spend the last years with her son and grandchildren. She retired from Hughes Aircraft, where she worked for 15 years. She is survived by a son, Shane (Sandra) Stinson of Tucson, AZ; two grandsons, Shane, Jr. and Seth Stinson; a sister, Mary Fickenscher of IL; four brothers, Howard (Ina) Sutton of Alliance, Richard (Ann) Sutton of Minerva, Stanley (Nancy) Sutton and George Sutton both of Homeworth; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charles Perry and Esther (Opp) Sutton; four sisters, Arlene Sallee, Maxine Ban, Edna Browning, and Marjorie Garmier; and two brothers, Jesse and Robert Sutton. The family will receive friends at Salem United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Salem United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Neil Orchard officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 14113 Salem Church St NE, Alliance, OH 44601.
