Ann Rich's Obituary
Ann Rich, 87, of Alliance, died Friday, February 21, 2003, at McCrea Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in San Valentino, Italy on November 25, 1915, she had lived in Alliance since 1920, and was a graduate of Alliance High School in 1934. Mrs. Rich was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church, and was also a member of their Altar & Rosary Society, Infant of Prague Guild and the Mary's Widows Group. She also volunteered as a Sacristan for the church for many years. She retired from S. P. Brown Draperies and was a member of the Roma Society, Alliance Senior Citizens, Alliance Garden Club, United Steel Workers, and the Bel Joy Club. Survivors include a daughter, Josephine (Nick) Pietrocola of Alliance; a son, James (Sharon) Rich of Alliance; grandchildren, Shelly (Jon) Christopherson of Grove City, Ohio, Stephanie (Craig) Unckrich of Alliance, and Todd (Renee) Rich of Alliance; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Mangino, Eleanor Mangino, Ida Barber, all of Alliance; a brother, Thomas Micketti of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Nick Rich on June 14, 1994 (they were married on June 15, 1935); her mother, Maria (Castellucci) DiBiase Micketti; her father, Pasquale DiBiase; her stepfather, Antonio Micketti; and a sister, Virginia Welch. Friends may call at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2003, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 26, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. J. Patrick Manning as celebrant. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
