Ann E. Coco's Obituary
Ann E. Coco, 92, of Alliance, died on September 1, 2011 at 12:35 a.m. at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville. She was born on August 21, 1919 in Summitville, OH and lived in Alliance most of her life. Ann was a graduate of Alliance Beauty College in 1939; she owned and operated Ann s Beauty Shop in the early 1950s. She was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and a founding member of the former Ladies of the Dante Alighieri Society. As a younger woman, Ann enjoyed spending time with the Wee Clique Club, a group of her school friends, for over 48 years. She especially enjoyed her family, including her daughter, Janice Marie (Hugh Caffey) Coco of Portland, OR; her son, James N. Coco of Norman, OK; granddaughter, Jennifer Marcotte of Dallas, Texas; two grandsons, Bruce Scott Matowitz of Phoenix, AZ and Patrick Coco of Tucson AZ; great-grandchildren, Christopher and Austin Marcotte, P.J. and Cami Coco; a brother, Lino Paletti of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, James P. Coco on August 8, 2003, whom she married on September 11, 1940; her father, Salvatore Gelmini, her mother, Maria (Bonazza) Gelmini-Paletti; her step-father, Lino Paletti; two sisters, Ursalina Gelmini, Mable Paletti Coco; and a brother, Henry Gelmini. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept 6, 2011 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Regina Coeli Catholic Church on Tuesday, Sept 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Howard Ziemba as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
