Ann Citino's Obituary
Ann Citino, 84, of Alliance, died on Friday, April 17, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. She was born on February 17, 1925 in Roby, West Virginia and lived in Alliance for most of her life. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring, where she was very active through the years. She especially liked helping them with their cooking, one of her favorite enjoyments in life. Ann also loved to garden and baking was another specialty of hers. And giving her baked goods away to others gave her many joys. During World War II, she was one of Alliance s "Rosie the Revitor" as she performed her duties as a welder. She later worked for Jim Clay Strong Enamel in Sebring, Buckeye Village Market and Persky s, and then as a cook at Copeland Oaks. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Louis J. and Kathi Citino of Alliance and Jeffrey T. and Sandy Citino of Alliance; eight grandchildren, Tina & Louie Brush of Alliance, Angie & Dusty Stafford of Alliance, Hope Rummell and Mike Yarian of Alliance, Jill Price of Alliance, John Oyster of Kent, Kyle Citino of Damascus, Kealie and Aaron Grimm of Berlin Center, and Tim Citino of Palmyra; twelve great-grandchildren, Heather Scaia Brush, Hailee Brush, Hidee Brush, D.J. Stafford, Jimmie Stafford, Stormy Stafford, Miranda Rummell, Grace Yarian, Brennan Price, Lauren Price, Garrett Grimm, Grayden Grimm; a great-great-granddaughter, Makala See; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Louis "GiGi" Citino on January 22, 1978, whom she married on June 3, 1944; a granddaughter, Sara Ann Citino; her parents, Stephan and Lizzie (Bodish) Sparish; two sisters, Elizabeth (Sparish) Pavich and Mary Lou (Sparish) Holt; and three brothers, Paul, Phil and Sammy Lee Sparish. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Ann Catholic Church, 323 S. 15th St. Sebring, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Thomas P. Dyer, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Roselawn Terrace for their loving care given to Annie over the last two years. Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, 1000 S.
