Angelo J. Favazzo's Obituary
Angelo J. Favazzo, 68, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born in Alliance on April 26, 1934, he had been a resident of Alliance all of his life. A 1953 graduate of Alliance High School, he was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church and retired as superintendent of the City of Alliance Street Department. He was also a member of the A.A.R.P. Mr. Favazzo is survived by daughter & son-in-law, Lori L. and Michael LaMenza of North Canton; daughter Linda S. McKinney of Canton; son & daughter-in-law, Mike and Susan Favazzo of Alliance; six grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Barnes, Marcella Dixson, and Mary Osco, all of Alliance; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Carole Favazzo on July 8, 1995 (whom he married on May 31, 1955); his parents, James and Angelina (Ferrini) Favazzo; two sisters, Rose Hughes and Eva Barnes; and seven brothers, Victor, Anthony, Joseph, Carmen, Charles, Jim and Ben. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, August 24, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. J. Patrick Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 23, 2002, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
