Amy A. Kron's Obituary
Amy A. (Otteson) Kron, 92, of Alliance, went home to be with her beloved husband to now be together forever on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 8:15 am at Canterbury Villa of Alliance.
Born on March 3, 1922 in New Hampton, Iowa to Alfred Christopher and Winefred Olive (Hewitt) Otteson, she lived in Alliance for most of her life and was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church.
A graduate of Alliance High School, she was a member of American Legion, Post 166, Ladies Auxiliary and B.P.O. Elks, Lodge #467, Ladies Auxiliary.
Amy had a great love for her entire family and she always went above and beyond for them and her friends. She always enjoyed spending time with all the family and also enjoyed attending gatherings at the church and playing euchre with her friends, especially Doris Jeswald.
Survivors include daughter, Karen (Robert) Ackerman of Alliance, OH; granddaughter, Renee Hall of Alliance, OH; grandson, Robert Ackerman, II of Alliance, OH; three great-grandsons, Johnathan Hall of Alliance, OH, Jacob Hall of Alliance, OH, Robert Ackerman, III of Damascus, OH; great-granddaughter, Madison Ackerman of FL; brother, Leon "Pete" Otteson of Westerville, OH; and five nieces, Myla Newton, Dorreen Garrett, Lori Baugh, Julie Otteson, Jennifer Otteson.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Joseph Kron, whom she married on September 27, 1941 and died on September 28, 2003; her parents; and two sisters, Ruth W. Warren and Lillian B. Hahlen.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm.
Her Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Matthew J. Mankowski, of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The family would especially like to thank Katie and Dawn from Alliance Hospice and the staff at Canterbury Villa for their help and special kindness in the caring of our beloved mother and grandmother.
