America L. Pizzedaz's Obituary
America L. Pizzedaz, 97, formerly of Alliance, died on Wednesday, September 09, 2009, at 9:05 a.m. at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. Mrs. Pizzedaz was born on October 2, 1911 in Cleveland, Ohio, and had lived in Alliance most of her life. She was a resident of Galena, Ohio for the last 23 years. She was most recently a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, Ohio and was previously a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alliance, Ohio. She is survived by her daughters, Elaine League of Cleveland, Ohio, Patricia (James) Pifer of South Lyon, Michigan, Karen (William) Gabay of Galena, Ohio; a son, Gary (Dee) Pizzedaz; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister Jeanette League; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Frederick E. Pizzedaz on February 28, 1987, whom she married on June 22, 1935; one daughter-in-law Rita Pizzedaz; a son Frederick E. Pizzedaz; a son-in-law Alex League and one great-grandchild, Valerie League. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
