Alma A. Dossi's Obituary
Alma A. Dossi, 79, of Alliance, died on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at 7:15 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on August 5, 1927 in Bellaire, Ohio, she had lived in Alliance most of her life. She attended Alliance City Schools and married Guido J. Dossi on March 8, 1943 at Cathedral of Assumption Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Dossi was a member of Regina Coeli Catholic Church for many years and was a member of the former Ladies of the Dante Alighieri Society. Alma enjoyed cooking and playing cards with her family and friends, but the light of her life was caring for her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, David (Beverly) Dossi of Lake Placid, FL, and Joseph (Peggy) Dossi of North Canton, OH; a daughter, Linda (Thomas) Stoffer of Lebanon, TN; five grandsons, David G. Dossi, Darren Dossi, Jason Dossi, Bret Stoffer and Nathan Stoffer; five great-grandchildren, Addison Dossi, Drew Dossi, Jack Dossi, Oscar Stoffer and Willa Stoffer; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Guido J. Dossi on October 23, 1989; her parents, Clifford and Sylvia (McAbee) McFarland; and a brother, Earl. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2007, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Michael Seifert, officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
