Alice M. Joliet's Obituary
Alice M. Joliet, 83, of Alliance, died on Friday, April 10, 2009 at 4:10 p.m. at Alliance Community Hospital. A lifelong resident of Alliance, Alice was born on February 16, 1926, and was a 1943 graduate of Alliance High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church her entire life and was a member of the St. Joseph Funtastiks. Alice was a member of the Christian Women s Club, the Alliance Senior Center, and the Woman s Life Insurance Society. She retired from R. Richmond Vick Accounting Co, located at the City Savings Bank Bldg., where she had been employed for over 25 years. In her past-time, Alice enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Joliet whom she married on June 30, 1951; a daughter, Ann M. Joliet of Huntington Beach, California; a son, Richard E. (Terese) Joliet of Alliance; 2 grandsons, Ryan Joliet and Todd Joliet; and a sister, Marie Brunner of Alliance. Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry S. and Martha E. (Polus) Brunner. The family will receive friends at the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht and the Rev. Msgr. James R. Kolp, as concelebrants. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
