Alfreda M. Steele 's Obituary
Alfreda M. Steele, 82, of Alliance, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:37 am at Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance, Ohio.
Born on January 25, 1933 in Benton, Arkansas to Reginald and Jesse (Malone) Clark, she lived in the Sebring and Alliance areas for most of her life.
She was a 1950 graduate of Benton High School and served our country in the U.S. Air Force.
Alfreda was member of Alliance Church of Christ and was also a member of the Citizens Academy of the Stark County Sheriff’s Department.
Mrs. Steele was employed at Sebring High School as a Cook and retired after 20 years of service.
Survivors include her daughter, Dawna M. (Alan) Davidson of Little Mountain, Queensland, Australia; her two sons, Gerald D. (Marjorie) Steele of Avon Lake, OH, and Thomas A. Steele of Alliance, OH; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert L. Steele, whom she married on September 17, 1957 and passed away on November 15, 2010; and a son, James E. Steele, who passed away in February of 2001.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Her Funeral Service will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11:00 am, with David Ray, of Alliance Church of Christ, officiating.
Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
