Alex E. Pataki's Obituary
Alex E. Pataki, 82, of Alliance, died on Thursday, March 03, 2005, at 3:20 p.m. at Community Care Center. Mr. Pataki was born in Alliance on October 31, 1922. A lifetime resident he was a 1941 graduate of Alliance High School. A veteran of World War II, Alex served in the U.S Army and received the Bronze Star. He retired from the Alliance Machine Company after 43 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. (Stoica) Pataki and several cousins, Pat Redmon, Judy Tettelbach, Susan Talbot, Tom Bandy, and Bruce Bandy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Julia (Lendvoy) Pataki. Funeral services will be held at the Alliance City Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with Elder David Kline officiating. Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow. Arrangements are being handled by the Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home.
