Albert L. Tasker's Obituary
Albert "Butch" Tasker, 87, of Atwater, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at his home.
Born on January 27, 1935 in Alliance, to Thomas and Maymie (Myers) Tasker, he lived in Atwater most of his life.
Butch was a member of Truth Baptist Church in Atwater.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served our country in the U.S. Army.
He retired from D-Con in maintenance after 30 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed working in air shows around the country.
Butch had a life-long interest in motorcycles, old cars, and farming.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia (Evans) Tasker, whom he married on June 8, 1957; three sons, Terry A. (Bonnie) Tasker of Ravenna, Michael (Deborah) Tasker of Columbus and Alan Tasker of Kent; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessica, Nick, Ashley and Brandon; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Ellen Hunt; five brothers, Tom, James, Dale, Ray and Jerry Tasker.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Roy Teague, of Truth Baptist Church in Atwater, officiating. Burial, with military honors, will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park.
