Albert S. Doringo's Obituary
Albert S. Doringo, 82, of Alliance, died on Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Canterbury Villa of Alliance. He was born on February 15, 1928 in Alliance and lived here all of his life. A U. S. Navy veteran, he belonged to the VFW Post #1036. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was also a member of the B. P. O. Elks, Lodge #467. He retired from Transue-Williams Steel Forging Plant, where he was employed as a Time Keeper. In his past-time, he enjoyed golfing & swimming, but especially Notre Dame Football. He is survived by three daughters, Linda (Joe) Ciotti of Youngstown, Diana (Russell) Austin of Alliance and Donna (Ross Rocci) Pilawa of Chesterland; two sons, Roger (Claudia) Doringo of Alliance and Stephen (Andrea) Doringo of Alliance; several grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his first wife, Lottie Doringo; a close friend, Karl Reinhardt; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Mary Carolyn (Chambers) Doringo; a daughter, Christine A. Doringo in 1965; his parents, Stanley and Anna (Hansel) Doringo; a sister, Helen Finnick; and two brothers, John Doringo and Joseph Doringo. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Donald L. Feicht, as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
