Alan Watson's Obituary
Alan Watson, 70, of Alliance, died on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 2:45 a.m. at his home. He was born on June 8, 1941 in Nottinghamshire, England and immigrated to Australia at age 19 where he resided for most of his life. Alan had lived in Alliance for the past two years. He was an engineer for Bridgestone Tyre in Adelaide, South Australia for 25 years and was a member of Kiwanis in Australia. In his past-time, he enjoyed golfing, cricket, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is mourned by his wife, Dianne (Fink) Watson whom he married on April 2, 1988; a sister, Christine Spencer of Melbourne, Australia; two nieces and two nephews of Australia; his mother-in-law, Marian Rasile of Alliance; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Kosirog, and Michele (Robert) Killen; brother-in-law, Larry (Cindy) Collett; two nieces, Angela Anderson and Kathryn Vercher; his loving companion, his dog "Bronny"; and many friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Jesse (Shaw) Spencer. Private services will be held.
