Agurtha S. Knowles' Obituary
Agurtha S. Knowles, 87, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at 9:45 p.m. at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Canton on June 22, 1915, and had been a resident of the Alliance area since 1939. A member of the New Franklin United Methodist Church and the Women of the Moose, Chapter 332, she retired as an inspector, with 35 years' of service, from the Alliance Manufacturing Co. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert O. and Marilyn Adams of Beloit; a granddaughter, Robin Lynn Lincoln of Newport, TN; a brother, Russell Milbrodt of Canton; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Knowles who died on March 19, 1984; her parents, Fred and Agurtha (Muehleisen) Milbrodt; three sisters; and three brothers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 16, 2003, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Monday, March 17, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. William D. Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the Alliance City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to New Franklin United Methodist Church, 16540 Lisbon St. SE, Minerva, OH 44657.
