Ada Clark's Obituary
Ada Clark, 91, of Alliance, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at 1:25 a.m. at McCrea Manor. She was born on April 12, 1917 in Kentucky, and lived in Alliance most of her life. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Alliance Freewill Baptist Church. Ada is survived by her two sons, Gary (Charla) of Belmont, NC and Roger (Kara) Clark of Alliance; a daughter-in-law, Carol Clark; ten grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Lloyd J. Clark in 1969, whom she married in 1939; two sons, Chalmer and Delbert Clark; two grandchildren; her parents, Charlie and Hattie (Roberts) Waggoner; two sisters, Gustie Barker and Mertle Henshaw; a brother, Oscar Waggoner; and a niece, Thelma Barker. The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2008, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jimmie Holbrook of Alliance Freewill Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Sebring.
