"The best thing that ever happened to our family". That's what we always said when Ed and Mom became companions and became a part of our lives. And what an addition he was! Holidays, summers, golf tournaments, graduations and a wedding, so many times together.
So many stories he recounted including the infamous Spring Break one. To our friends who heard it -he became the "Founder of Spring Break". Always a laugh and a story to share. He endeared himself to everyone, the Granville coffee crew and btw the minder of the weekly Lottery pool, the California contingency -Lance and Tina, Wes and Samara, Shawn and Allan to name a few, his surrogate dog Clover who never left his side when he took a very nasty fall.
A kind, patient, thoughtful, loving, funny man. We loved Ed, he was family. Too many memories to recount. My "Words with Friends" buddy, my " almost dad" as he liked to say, my partner in crime at Whits indulging, my endless source of Santa Claus collecting. Your favorite chair, the brown leather recliner you spent innumerable hours enjoying will miss you. The jigsaw puzzle table will miss you. I will greatly miss you in my life, we will all miss your presence. It's a great, great loss and far too soon. I am not ready to let you go Ed but go you must. May Godspeed with all of our love and gratitude for the life you lived and all you meant and mean to us.
