Phyllis Gang

January 5, 1929 - January 16, 2018

Phyllis E. (Edie) Gang, 89, of Alliance, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 12:37 pm at Alliance Community Hospital. Born on January 5, 1929 in Sebring, to Charles and Doris (Henry) Edie, she lived in Alliance for most of her life. She was a 1947 graduate of Sebring High School and was a member of Sebring Church of Christ. Phyllis was employed at both Lawsons & Quick Shop as a clerk and had retired in 1991 after 32 years of service. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, and always looked forward to her daily crossword puzzle from the Alliance Review. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia S. (Michael) Wilson of Louisville; her three sons, Timothy A. Gang, James E. (Kimberly) Gang and Jeffrey C. (Bonnie) Gang, all of Alliance; a step-son, Charles Gang, III of Alliance; seven grandchildren, Greg, Todd, Josh, Hailey, Jacob, Tyler and Rachael; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles L. Gang, Jr; her parents; and a brother, Charles Edie. Private Services will be held. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Alliance Food Pantry, 215 E Market St, Alliance, OH 44601.
